Regional Controller
Job Description
Position Summary:
Candidates will be responsible for financial management of the Tecumseh and Fremont facilities including budgeting and forecasting processes, working with sales on revenue targets and gaps, plant cost management and reduction efforts, communicating financial results to plant leaders and managers, understanding and reconciling general ledger and subsidiary ledgers; timely month end close process; safeguarding assets and managing inventory, managing the plant audits, assisting with bank transactions as necessary (reconciliation, wires, credit card, etc)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive Revenue Growth at both facilities with the sales team
- Monitor cost budgets and determine areas for cost reduction
- Work with production management on productivity plans
- Develop strong relationships with plant management team and conduct regular face to face financial results meetings
- Perform financial analysis of all capital expenditures at the plant
- Manage accounting operations including: Invoicing, A/P, fixed assets, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition for Michigan and Ohio plants.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Supervise, motivate and lead finance department and work closely with all other departments to creating smooth financial transactions plant wide.
- Understand and communicate monthly financial results to plant management with comparison to plan/forecast
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the plants
- Prepare and publish timely monthly and yearly financial statements and create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
- Oversee payroll processing and submit all required payments.
- Manage annual financial audit for the plants
- All other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field or MBA
- Thorough knowledge and experience in accounting principles and procedures
- 10 years of relevant experience preferred
- Manufacturing business environment
- ERP system experience – Epicor a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of US GAAP
- Expertise in financial analysis, cost accounting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, account reconciliations, cash forecasting, cash management, and monthly close
- Leadership, research, and analytic skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Work Environment:
Office / Manufacturing environment. Employee may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, painting etc.
This is an office-based position that requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, driving, reading, seeing, hearing, speaking, concentrating, and communicating.
