What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontist position at Union Dental?
A brand new dental office wants to hire an experienced orthodontist who can work every other Saturday or every Saturday.
Duties:
- Diagnose and treat dental malocclusions and oral abnormalities
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Install and adjust orthodontic appliances such as braces, retainers, and aligners
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices during orthodontic treatment
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in orthodontic techniques and technologies
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program
- Valid state dental license to practice as an orthodontist
- Board certification or eligibility for board certification in orthodontics
- Proficiency in using orthodontic software systems such as Epic, Dentrix, Pediatrics, Eaglesoft, etc.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with patients of all ages, including children and teenagers
