POSITION PURPOSE:
The Program Director (PD) reports to the Senior Club Director. Under their direction, the PD supports the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs' mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The PD manages daily operations of the ULBGC Barreto Club site, with a primary focus on program delivery, staff development, reporting compliance, and facilities management. The PD promotes safety and provides leadership for the effective implementation of all ULBGC Barreto Club services.
SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:
The Program Director reports to the Senior Club Director, who has final decision-making authority. The PD assesses and evaluates the needs of the Barreto Club and manages the part-time leadership team and club staff. Additionally, the PD assists the Senior Club Director in successful compliance
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I Outcomes Management
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate the success of Club programs, activities, and services.
- Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of strategic outcomes.
- Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, and organizations.
- Oversee the professional development of Club leadership, staff, and volunteers.
- Adhere to all grant-reporting requirements and organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational safety requirements.
- Maintain all program records and reports
II Program Implementation
Oversee the successful planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of all programs, activities, and special events at Barreto Club. This is including, but not limited to:
- Daily afterschool programming for club members aged 6-14.
- Academic Success Programs: Power Hour, STEM, Sea Perch
- Healthy Lifestyles Programs: SMART, Triple Play athletics, Kids Cafe food service
- Good Character and Citizenship Programs: Youth of the Year, Junior Staff, Keystone Club
- Special Events: Thanksgiving Community Dinner, Awards Night
- Summer Day Camp
III Other Responsibilities
- Ensures programs are evaluated for outcomes, effectiveness, and level of participation
- Develop and implement staff evaluations
- Facilities management
- Attend leadership training, meetings, and conferences as needed
- Assume other various duties as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- B.A. or B.S. degree.
- Bilingual: Spanish proficiency
- (2) years of experience working in youth development
- (2) years of experience in a leadership role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team and project management skills
- Proficient in Google Suite and ability to quickly learn additional platforms
- Ability to maintain positive, supportive, and professional relationships with members, staff community partners, and stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with budget management

- Able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time
