Summary: Enter vendor invoices and supports CFO within cash-flow model process. Enter and transmit payroll for hourly and salary employees. Reviews timecards for reasonableness. Prepares input for automated Paycor payroll system. Prepares special reports as needed by computing and compiling figures. Supports month-end accrual preparation and reconciliations. Backup as required to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerk.
Job Title: Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist
Reports to: CFO
Essential Functions:
Knowledge of accounts payable and account receivable
Enters new vendors and customer into ERP system
Support of vendor invoice data entry for payment within the cash flow model
Petty Cash management
Enter general ledger entries
Track scrap shipments and payments
Month-end and Year-end closing duties as assigned
Daily cashbook updates
Annual corporate report filings
Assist with year-end physical inventory
Assists with year-end and bank audit preparation
Reviews new hires in Paycor and benefit setup, per Human Resource documentation
Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data to Paycor
Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Knowledge of payroll compliance
Strong computer skills such as typing, system and software knowledge
Knowledge of wage withholding orders
Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns
Sound decision-making skills
Ability to multitask in a stressful environment with specific deadlines
Researches, analyzes, and uses independent judgment in a variety of daily and non-routine decisions
Three years of work experience in the area of processing accounts payable and payroll
Ten-key/computer keyboarding; advanced computer skills; excellent attention to detail and follow-up; good oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively establish rapport and present information; dependability; tolerance for multiple demands; administrative recall of procedures; an ability to learn and maintain confidentiality
Required Work Hours: A minimum of forty hours per week, plus other hours as may be necessary to complete job duties
