Summary: The Quality Assurance Supervisor directs the activities of the Quality department within the manufacturing plant to ensure pre-determined and required Quality standards are met throughout the entire workflow of an order following release to Production.

Essential Functions
Provide leadership that drives continuous improvement
Management and oversight of QC Technicians
Maintain QC Department schedules
Coordinate Quality audits with outside inspectors
Coordinate Material certifications and testing
Coordinate implementation of Welding procedures and Welder Qualifications
Coordinate additional training for production personnel, In coordination with the Plant Manager and Department Supervisors
Coordinate training and recertification of the QC Techs
Monitoring product and procedure deficiencies
Execute and formulate metrics, goals and plans
Coordinate daily improvement of Safety and Quality by driving problem-solving metrics
Performing shop inspections as needed
Promote professional honesty, integrity and enforce accountability
Build relationships throughout the team
Support teamwork and corporate values
Blueprint reading
Report to Management on production-related Quality issues
Monitor and track the QC Technicians’ operating expenses
Work with Procurement around outside vendor quality issues
Issue disciplinary action as needed
Offer aid to other supervisors
Other duties as assigned
Required Education/Experience
Education: CWI (preferred). Level II or higher in UT, MT, or RT (preferred).
Experience: 5 years
Skills: Microsoft Office, Blueprint Reading, experience with welding practices (GMAW,
SMAW and SAW)
Equipment To Be Used: Computer
Typical Physical Demands: Most work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
This includes walking, standing, lifting, bending, climbing on equipment and occasional driving
Typical Mental Demands: Ability to participate in a quality/process improvement
program
Travel: 5% — Training classes as needed; visit vendors
Physical Qualifications
Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb and walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to work in all types of temperatures and in a manufacturing environment
