Quality Control Clerk
Primary Responsibilities:
- The Quality Control Clerk ensures that the processing of outgoing shipments in the distribution center is sent out in a safe and accurate manner to include: Safe pallet content; ensure the information for each package shipped in and out is accurate; ensure the data includes weight, dimensions, tracking information. Correct counts of product; ensure no overages and shortages or products. Report any errors to supervisor or direct support.
Other task and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare items for shipment
- Attach shipping labels on packed stencils or cartons; identify shipping information on goods, using stenciling equipment
- Place items into containers using fillers, spacers and protective padding
- observe and document shortages and replace damaged items and correct shortages by re-picking correct amounts
- Examine outgoing shipments and make sure they conform with Pick Manifest
- May be assigned according to area of specialization, such as USC or FE

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
- Knowledge of loading and stacking procedures of pallets
- High school education; or 2 or more years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand up to 8 hours. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
