Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily workflow of transportation to ensure proper staffing and schedules are maintained.
Serve as a primary information source for the transportation team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Assist team members operationally and administratively to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate and coordinate with management to ensure efficient operations and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise.
Ensure trailers are loaded in the most efficient manner, maximizing bills loaded per trailer while preserving the integrity of customer shipments.
Supervise the timely unloading of trailers and proper staging of received shipments.
Schedule delivery appointments to ensure arrival by Requested Delivery Date (RDD) and minimize delays.
Complete all required reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Evaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound and outbound productivity requirements, striving to meet and exceed customer time, accuracy, and quality expectations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in transportation operations or logistics management.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in utilizing transportation management systems and software.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
