Position Title
Family Therapist and Advocate (LMSW encouraged to apply)
Position Description
Basic Function and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the UAY Counseling Coordinator, provide behavioral mental health therapy and family therapy for children, youth and family members. Provide counseling, crisis intervention and supportive services to youth and families and coordinate such services with other agencies and departments.
Characteristic Duties:
- Maintain an active caseload of clients which may be composed of crime victims, teen parents, homeless youth, children and families.
- Provide diagnostic assessment, treatment planning and intervention to meet client mental health
- Provide crisis intervention to victims to address their physical and emotional needs and make referrals as appropriate.
- Provide ongoing confidential counseling and therapy to individuals, families, and
- Coordinate UAY services with other area providers including the County Attorney’s office, law enforcement, ICCSD, DHHS, DVIP, RVAP, Four Oaks, JCS, etc…
- Maintain records in a confidential
- Participate in community events that address the mental health needs of youth and
- Participate in local, state and national network activities designed to coordinate and improve services to youth and families.
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision and team Meet all requirements to maintain licensure and credentialing with insurance companies.
Related Duties:
- Provide consultation and in-service training for UAY
- Attend bi-weekly staff

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Masters level education in a mental health related field.
Compensation:
This is a full-time position. A $50,000 to $55,000 starting salary (depending on experience and type of licensure) plus quarterly incentives, plus benefits that include health insurance flex spending, life/disability insurance, generous vacation package, wellness program and retirement.
