POSITION SUMMARY
This is a new position to enhance the members’ experience while utilizing the MSGP. The Member Experience Coordinator’s daily activities include but are not limited to receiving donated food/nonfood inventory, entering data into the point-of-sale system, creating shelf tags and/or signage, merchandising goods. Position is a very physical and will require flexibility as the processes are put in place. Individual will be functioning between the back warehouse and Center floor.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
· Breaking down and sorting pallets of donated food and non-food items.
· Utilizing a food/nonfood product category sorting process.
· Stock goods on to shelves in designated locations.
· Checking items against current Point-Of-Sale Item Master database.
· Entering missing products into system according to company approved format.
· Creating handling fee shelf tags/signage for all products on the shelves, cooler doors, freezer doors, and bulk pallets.
· Merchandising all product goods on the shelves, cooler doors, bulk pallets, and freezer doors.
· Completing member transactions through the Point-of-Sale register system, as needed.
· Enter members completed membership application in the Point-Of-Sale membership database, as needed.
· Working with the Grocery Manager to understand USDA Food Pantry Guidelines and ensure that the items distributed meet all established food safety guidelines and that they are appropriate for our grocery program.
· Participating and/or leading any other department initiative as needed.
ESSENTIALS THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL
· Previous inventory/merchandising/management experience.
· Strong communication skills and leadership skills.
· Strong technology, computer skills. Knowledge of POS and inventory systems is also required.
· Ability to multi-task effectively within a rapidly changing environment.
· Positive attitude even in the face of adversity.
· Effective decision making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience in procurement, grocery or inventory role.
PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time and move frequently throughout the day. Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer as needed. Must have access to a personal vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record (as this is a frequently driving position). Ability to bend, push, pull and lift items of 25lbs or more required.

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
