WHAT WE’RE OFFERING
The Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for creating an outstanding experience for new and existing customers. Responsible for the support and coordination of residential sales orders from order submission through installation. Educated in product and service knowledge combined with friendly local appeal, the Inside Sales Coordinator provides customer support, sales, and sales assistance to customers and prospects in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
- Respond to the sales team with any inquiries with the specific goal of helping customers with United’s products and services.
- Provide daily sales support functions including taking payments, scheduling orders for new service or upgrades, and general inquiries by phone, text, or via e-mail.
- Create new customer accounts and maintain detailed records using company-provided software tools.
- Ensure work orders meet all submission criteria and compliance requirements.
- Review contracts and validate services with customers to ensure accuracy.
- Perform outbound cold calling to prospects to win new business and cold calling to existing customers to get them to upgrade their service.
- Navigate through multiple systems to build, track, and monitor orders. Communicate with various levels of sales, operations, engineering, and other functional groups to ensure order installation.
- Record and maintain accurate information within the ticketing system.
- Meet scorecard productivity and quality metrics.
- Monitor and close all trouble tickets and communicate areas of opportunity to management.
- Educate customers on the use of products, services, and tools while providing a high level of customer service.
- Assist in daily reconciling of orders submitted, keyed, and installed.
WHAT YOU BRING
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One to two years of previous call center or sales support experience preferred.
- Experience in a customer support or sales role.
- PC skills – Ability to efficiently use company support systems, email, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and listening skills.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills with a history of achieving results and delighting customers.
- Basic mathematics and the ability to calculate amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, and taxes.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work without constant instruction.
- Ability to maintain a level and consistent approach and response when working with short deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in an on-demand, fast-paced sales and customer service environment without becoming frustrated, frazzled, or angry.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate professionally daily through email, spreadsheets, and formal presentations as needed. Must be able to effectively communicate between departments and maintain good relationships across all departments.
