We are recruiting for a Quality Improvement assistant to join the team at our Corporate office in Fresno, CA.
The Quality Improvement Assistant provides clerical and data support for UHC's quality improvement program. This position serves in assisting in both clerical and analytical functions of the department. Candidates are expected to assist with general audits, collect data, perform analysis and generate reports. The Quality Improvement Assistant can expect to be able to effectively communicate outcomes and results along with designing and creating dynamic presentation materials. The Quality Improvement Assistant is also responsible for coordination of meetings, record keeping, and tracking of improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to the Director of Quality Improvement and works closely with Clinic Managers and other members of the clinic management team and staff to:
- Interpret performance improvement data from an organizational standard perspective and explain it to staff and management personnel.
- Analyze and summarize performance improvement data from a clinical perspective and prepare and distribute reports/charts to the Quality Improvement (QI) committee.
These include but are not limited to:
- Patient Satisfaction
- Patient Visit Cycle Time
- Program: Diabetic Collaborative
- Assist in educating and training staff as to the quality improvement plan, and their respective responsibilities in carrying out the quality improvement program.
- Coordination of Quality Improvement and Quality Management Group Committee meetings.
- Assist in general clerical/office duties associated with Medical Administration office.
- Responsible for the reporting and analysis of specific health center projects.
- Responsible for office functions of the quality improvement program.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- Degree/certification in healthcare related field preferred (e.g., BS in Health Education, Medical Assistant certification).
PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
- 1 or more years clerical experience or experience in a health care setting
SKILLS
- Able to quickly build and maintain rapport with patients and providers of differing backgrounds; team player
- Customer-service oriented
- Strong computer skills (knowledge of MS Office products and familiarity with medical management software).
- Familiar with adult learning and general training techniques
- Positive professional insight
- Flexibility and dependability
- Demonstrated good problem-solving skills; sound judgment
- Modern office practices and procedures including email
- Attention to detail and excellent follow-through on work tasks
