Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician position is to assist in maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner and to secure the facility premises, in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, established facility policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor.
Duties will include: perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.; service heating and cooling units/systems; perform maintenance on grounds, parking areas, trimming, sweeping, removing snow and salting, etc.
Skills and Knowledge
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
- Must be knowledgeable of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as building codes and safety regulations.
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
- Must possess the ability to plan and carry out programs in repair, new construction, and equipment installation.

Required Qualifications
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
