Job Summary:
The primary purpose of the Residential Services Manager is to provide leadership and support to the team members providing care to the residents of Meadowlark Retirement Village. This position also assists/works collaboratively with the Community Manager in supporting all other departments in the day-to-day operations of the community. Programs and services will be provided in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, as well as, existing policies and procedures. The position will also ensure the unique needs of each resident are met with the highest degree of quality care at all time.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assumes the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the Care Team under the direction of the Community Manager.
- Supervise, interview and train team members. Provide team members with discipline when necessary, team member annual feedback and maintain job descriptions.
- Facilitate in licensing inspections and perform administrative duties such as completing forms, reports, evaluation and charting as it pertains to regulatory standards
- Partner with the Direct Care Supervisors to ensure a successful on-boarding experience and that proper training has been given
- Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team on resident care plans, including participating in family communications and care conferences.
- Oversee the scheduling and payroll functions for the department
- Assists new residents and families in the orientation process
- Assists all residents with activities of daily living, as needed according to their service plan.
- Assists residents in preparing for activities and social programs, and transporting as needed, along with planning, implementing, and
- evaluating both individual and group activities.
- Encourages each resident’s autonomy and dignity by communicating in a respectful and sensitive manner according to their needs.
- Interacts with residents in friendly manner while structuring their day and monitoring their needs.
- Ensures accurate documentation in resident’s charts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a health field with a major in Management or Administration, or any combination of experience, education, or training which would provide the knowledge required by this position.
- Must have, a minimum of 5 years of related experience with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, or Adult Foster Care (AFC Home) environment.
