What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lot Porter position at United Nissan?
This is a very important position at United Nissan. This person is responsible for moving, merchandising, and cleaning vehicles. This person also will assist in keeping the vehicles in sound working condition and help the General Sales Manager and the management staff as directed.
Porter Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain new and pre-owned inventory appearance and performance by cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.
- Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
- Maintains new and pre-owned lots neat and orderly, moving vehicles as directed by management and in accordance with dealership display standards.
- Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris (cigarette butts) as necessary.
- Drives vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
- Makes key tags for vehicles.
- Understands keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-To-Know, etc.
- Reports any safety issues to supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
2. Professional personal appearance.
3. Will be required to wear a dealership-provided uniform.
4. Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
