What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant position at United Primary Care?
We are currently seeking a full-time X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant to join our team. The position will assist in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform needed radiology ordered by clinic.
- Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
•Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
•Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit.
•Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure.
•Prepares patients for clinic visit, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Prepare all necessary instruments, equipment and paperwork for clinical visits.
- Consistently punctual in reporting to work and to and from work breaks.
- Must be flexible in staffing and work practices and supports cross training as patient/customer needs require.
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
- Administers routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Communication Skills:
- Must possess the ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally with clients, coworkers, and members of management. Excellent professional customer service skills required.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Electronic Medical Records software.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Maintain professional certification.
- X-ray Certified/Licensed is required (can be limited).
Experience:
- 1 year in medical field preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
