Summary of Essential Functions Responsible for the implementation and utilization of information systems Assist manager in planning, leading, and directing others to accomplish stated objectives.# Performs analyst role while serving as a working coordinator. This position requires extensive knowledge of operational processes and workflows common in the healthcare setting in addition to advanced computer skills. This individual must have broad knowledge of applications, application integration and data flow, as well as extensive experience in the support of EMR, healthcare and/or business applications. This position has management responsibilities and completes projects through leadership of others for whom it has line responsibility. # Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. University degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related subject preferred, not required.# Work experience may be considered as substitute for degree Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. # Licensure and Certifications Must obtain and keep current all certifications required to support assigned applications # Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Experience in healthcare, business or operation setting or functional and/or systems analysis and reporting experience. Knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive support for systems/applications. Extensive knowledge of health care operations, regulatory requirements, and the application of information technology to aid and improve health care functions. Skilled in communicating positively with end users, other analysts, management, and customers. Experience managing projects with proven ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists and manage a project plan to completion. Demonstrates exceptional ability to research, analyze and thoroughly understand workflows of end users, and use this knowledge to configure systems which improve processes and add efficiencies. Must be able to effectively lead others to accomplish specific goals and outcomes as directed.# Maybe asked to cross train in other disciplines as needed. Experience leading large and complex projects # Physical Requirements Primarily works the day shift tour of duty; may be asked to work additional hours as needed, including weekends. May be required to take rotating call to support the applications May be expected to lift over twenty-five (25) pounds. Ability to distinguish between numbers and symbols. Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity with substantial movement of wrist and/or fingers. Walking and climbing to accomplish tasks. Corrected vision and hearing to normal or near normal range. Extended periods of sitting and/or walking depending on specific duties. # Duties and Responsibilities Ability to deliver software solutions through the entire system development lifecycle (requirements, design, build, test, deploy, and support). Develop and maintain functional specifications and operational process flows or other necessary documentation for approved system enhancements or modifications. Provide technical resource to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve complex issues Provides suggestions for potential application modifications, enhancements or business process changes as appropriate as well as advising business and technical counterparts regarding current system functionality Produce and provide analysis through reports, dashboards, and analytic tools to management Demonstrates thorough understanding of the currently installed applications and how they impact patient care and business operations. Confers with system personnel to analyze current and future operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, research configuration options, how data is stored, and formats reports. Collaborates with operational leaders, user groups and key stakeholders to review and prioritize system enhancements and upgrades Collaborates with technical resources on projects, and systems maintenance to ensure the needs of the business are met## Works with end users ensuring the applications are meeting their expectations. Assist with the overall planning, development, and implementation of the software applications. Able to lead multiple concurrent projects, support multiple application modules, and manage user expectations Adheres to organizational policies and procedures and documents change control and system problems according to departmental procedures. Manages projects to completion according to department standards with little or no guidance. Demonstrates commitment to excellent customer service. Serves as a mentor and resource to other analysts, educates and coaches other team members Leads team to achieve goals and meet departmental and organizational KPIs Monitor#s analysts# performance for adherence to departmental policies and processes for ticket management and SLAs Keeps manager informed as to the status of projects through regular updates. Effectively directs others to ensure projects and assignments are completed as per the project plans and organizational/department priorities. Accepts responsibility for all aspects of assigned project. All other duties as assigned by their manager or director.
