Distribution Clerk
United Rotary Brush is a Lenexa, Kansas based manufacturer of specialty industrial brushes for the airport, road construction, street sweeping and plowing industries. Our Lenexa, KS, manufacturing facility (off I-435 & Lackman Road) is looking for a Distribution Clerk that has the desire to help grow the company and focus on a quality-minded work environment. Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee the efficient storage, movement and delivery of goods, materials, and products for the company. Responsible for ensuring that the raw and finished goods are received/transported in a prompt and timely manner. Will accurately and timely process transactions for the receipt of raw goods and/or customer distribution orders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that all required paperwork, including labels, packings lists, and transportation instructions are completed accurately and timely.
- Receive, handle and store raw materials/finished goods per company policies and procedures.
- Uses tracking systems to input or look up information.
- Assists in maintaining accurate inventory.
- Loading and unloading trucks using forklift or pallet jack.
- Utilizes manual system to pick orders for daily outbound deliveries/shipments.
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks or hand trucks to move stock or organize storage.
- Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure the warehouse work area is safe, organized, and maintained in a clean manner.
Minimum Qualifications
- HS diploma/GED and /or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Previous fork truck experience is required and the ability to pass forklift certification program.
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
- Must be organized with attention to detail, able to work independently, and as a team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software – Word & Excel.
- Exposure to Visual/Infor and ERP/MRP preferred, use is required.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete all end of day ERP transactions, finalize all delivered orders, and submit delivery documents to Accountant for invoicing.
- Must be able to meet deadlines, work independently in an office and warehouse setting and maintain balance between multiple projects including assisting with pulling will-call orders.
