What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Events Service Tech position at United Site Services?
This position is responsible for operating a company service truck and driving to various locations at an event to service/pump/clean portable restrooms or holding tanks. This position may also pick and/or deliver the units for the special event.
Essential Functions
Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection & report deficiencies to shop immediately. Also, report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the Mechanic/Operations Supervisor/Manager. Operate service truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on assignment information. Maintain telephone or radio contact with Operations Coordinator to receive additional instructions, changes to work locations, etc. Service portable restrooms, holding tanks, sinks, showers, etc., at various work sites by following the Company’s servicing guidelines. Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc. in units being serviced. Clean interior and exterior of units and add chemical solution to portable restroom units; complete all Points of Service the USS Way. Maintains truck logs according to state and federal regulations. Follow all established safety rules & regulations. Special/Other projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization. Valid Technician License (Class CDL A or B with endorsement or Class C, D, or E (depending on state). Physical Requirements Sit while driving and stand while servicing products Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls Repeat the same movements See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance Speak clearly so customers can understand Understand the speech of another person Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them Be able to walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling Lift up to 40lbs from your waits to your shoulders Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head Crouch and squat Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally
