What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Artist position at United Sports Brands?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Primary responsibilities will be to support the department’s production and creation of digital and traditional marketing materials/assets. To be successful in this position, you should have strong creative expertise and technical knowledge in organizing, formatting and optimizing imagery and graphics for a wide variety of uses. You should also have a passion for process, eye for detail, and good personal time management skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain brand standardization across all marketing materials
- Produce print collateral such as catalogs, sell sheets, POS, packaging, promotional items, etc. and manage prepress process for files
- Create digital communication assets including emails, website banners, social posts, etc. using existing templates
- Resize and reformat imagery for print and web
- Manage and maintain image library and external asset requests
- Collaborate with design team on various concepts and approvals
- Actively participate in meetings and critiques as a team member
- Ability to translate feedback into finished designs
- Follow all stages of design development lifecycle
- Must be detail-oriented, well organized and able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- Maintain structure of file naming, storing and organizing
- Ensure files for production are properly built and work with specified parameters
- Preform work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing projects to meet deadlines
- Create mock-ups for client presentation/marketing presentation decks
- Follow key dates and deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION SPECIFICS:
- This is a full-time position
- Typical work hours and days are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Less than 10% travel is expected for this position
- This position is based in Fountain Valley, CA
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position does not have any leadership requirements and/or responsibilities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graphic Design degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2-4 years production artist, graphic design or similar role within a corporation’s marketing/creative department and/or advertising agency
- In-depth expertise in developing creative solutions across a broad range of platforms
- Solid expertise with the latest versions of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and XD. Lightroom, Bridge, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Dimensions a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Strong communication and listening skills and the ability to translate feedback visually
- Detail oriented, highly organized and a keen eye for consistency
- Must be team-oriented, dedicated, inquisitive, and collaborative
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Strong work ethic, personal accountability & excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time & projects to meet deadlines
- Willingness to work on multiple projects across multiple mediums for different brands per day
- Knowledge of general business, marketing and advertising principles/practices
- Must have the ability to represent the company's interests to outside parties
