REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Membership and Association
WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, ability to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Manager is the leading service liaison and coach for local and state bowling associations around the country, and within their specific territory. The ability to know, understand, and influence association volunteers with policy and governance, while also staying focused on servicing the membership appropriately is paramount to the success of the associations. Helping associations build strong, impactful, cohesive boards is their goal so the service to the members can be superb.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent USBC when consulting with local associations, at Jamborees, Workshops, Town Hall Meetings, Annual Meetings, Association Leadership Academies, and Convention. Develop and Deliver Presentations.
- Educate and support State Associations with growing and creating successful Championship Tournaments.
- Sell USBC Products and Services in assigned territory.
- Work with State Associations to act as mentors and educators to their Local Associations.
- Develop and implement programs that assist local associations to grow memberships.
- Assess, consult, educate, and support Local Associations to help improve USBC compliance and enhance operational excellence.
- Build positive relationship with Associations, Proprietors, and other Bowling integers.
- Determine and report to HQ specific needs in the field.
- Support and back-up the Call Center when in the office.
- Support IBC and BPAA programs in the field.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- A business degree and two years’ experience or six years’ industry experience required.
- Must have ability to develop training programs to include creation of class materials, workbooks, support materials as well as Power Point presentations.
- Must have ability to conduct training sessions.
- Relationships with proprietors is a plus, must be able to build those relationships.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Must have the ability to deal with confrontation and be able to bring consensus to a large group.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to multi-task in a professional manner.
- Advanced writing skills.
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Sales and Account Management experience is a plus.
- Must be a skilled public speaker, experience speaking about the sport of bowling is a plus.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of USBC programs, services, and operations.
- Must be able to work with diverse groups of association personnel.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must pass the RVP program and maintain a “Green Light” status.
- Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program is a condition of employment and continued employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to move about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 40 pounds.
TRAVEL: Ability to travel up to 30% of the year required, including air and car travel.
