You will serve as a ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) in the NON-NUCLEAR INSPECTION DIVISION, QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

ABILITY TO INSPECT:
- Ability to accept or reject items for conformance with requirements and to work productively in an inspection program.
- Assuming inspection responsibility; to recognize and require the highest standards of workmanship.
- Exercising initiative and judgement in planning the sequence of inspections during layout fabrication, installation, and testing of component.
- Reading and interpreting plans, diagrams, illustrative or schematic instructional material, engineering directives and inspection requirements involved with wiring, electronic component refurbishment, assembly, and testing.
- Utilizing thorough technical knowledge in the electrical and electronic fields and be familiar with the nomenclature and symbols involved.
