You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS) in the Executive Support Staff, C-1100 of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Qualifications:
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience applying a full range of labor and employee relations theories, principles, methods and techniques.
- Experience providing guidance to employee and managers in matters related to Labor and Employee Relations.
- Experience preparing disciplinary and adverse actions and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Experience conducting research pretaining to contract negotiations and third party case law decisions.
- Experience applying a full range of labor and employee relations theories, principles, methods and techniques to a wide variety of complex assignments.
- Experience applying regulations and procedures.
- Experience preparing diciplinary and adverse action ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, procedural and contractural requirements.
- Experience providing technical assistance to employees in the excerise of protective and appeal rights.
