United Structural Services, LLC provides commercial and residential foundation repair, waterproofing, floor support systems, sinkhole remediation, encapsulation, concrete leveling, and other specialty contracting services to Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and Western Kentucky.
 

Join our team as an Accounting Manager! In this crucial role, you'll be instrumental in managing our centralized accounting functions in Pleasant View, TN. We're on the lookout for someone with expertise in Sage Intacct or equivalent systems, coupled with a solid understanding of GAAP and accounting procedures. As our Accounting Manager, you'll lead and supervise our dedicated accounting team, overseeing the processing of AR, AP, job costing, and commissions for our diverse portfolio of companies. This position will report to the Director of Accounting.

What you’ll do:

• Support the Director of Accounting across multiple companies and states.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP in all accounting processes and transactions.
• Implement and document internal controls for asset protection.
• Maintain accurate general and subsidiary ledger accounts.
• Complete month-end closing procedures and journal entries.
• Oversee financial recording and reporting for cash, AP, AR, and job costing.
• Manage banking transactions and company credit card accounts.
• Calculate and file monthly sales and use tax returns for various locations.
• Ensure accurate job cost and financial reporting by maintaining job costing data within Salesforce systems.
• Establish and maintain compliance documentation for new and existing subcontractors.
• Provide backup support during staff absences.
• Manage document retention and off-site storage.
• Supervise and train accounting staff, conduct performance reviews, and optimize staffing.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Assist with other Accounting Department tasks as needed.

• Initiative: Proactive in identifying and addressing departmental needs.
• Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3-5 years of relevant experience in full-cycle GAAP accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems.
• Proficiency with Salesforce is a plus.
