Who we are:
United Way for Greater Austin (United Way ATX) brings people, ideas, and resources together to fight poverty in our community. Through our focus areas of Education, Health and Financial Stability, we build opportunity for all people in Greater Austin. We unite the community around collective goals, strategically invest in partners, and execute proven programs that make a real difference for children and families. Something special happens when we Live United.
What we offer: The PACES Outreach Coordinator will conduct outreach, community engagement and partnership efforts for the PACES Project. The goal of the PACES (Preventing ACES through Collaboration and Economic Supports) Project is to increase the number of families with young children in Austin’s Eastern Crescent receiving tax credits. Tax credits raise a family’s income and increase protective factors against Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
The PACES Outreach Coordinator will work closely with community organizations to connect families who are eligible for the tax credit to free tax filing services. The Coordinator will also work with the PACES team to identify how to effectively reach these families and implement changes within the Tax Help program. This role is perfect for a people-person who proactively fosters relationships, has experience in the social service sector, is looking to build out their skillset in community outreach and project management, and is passionate about improving the lives of parents and children in Austin.
PACES is a partnership program between Foundation Communities and United Way for Greater Austin.
