Team Leader, Data Engineering & Analytics

 

In this position, you will play a key role in expanding our fast growing application development team. We have experienced explosive growth as an emerging leader in the Mortgage Industry and are looking for a team lead to help us as we move into the future.As a team lead at UWM, you will work in a fast paced, results driven environment.  You will be responsible for mentoring and growing a team of developers who will work to build enterprise reports and dashboards. Your team will be a highly talented group comprised of report developers, business intelligence developers, and database developers.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Required:

• 3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools including SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS and Power BI
• 3 years data/database development experience as well as with the entire development life cycle.
• 3 years experience with software project management
• Computer-related degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to communicate with strong technical skills
• Ability to work with limited guidance in a team environment
• Strong analytical problem solving, technical and organizational skills
• Experience with customer and team member management (setting expectations, exemplary communication and leadership abilities)
• Ability to mentor developers

Preferred:

• Experience with database design
• Experience with business intelligence
• Experience with machine learning
• Experience in the mortgage industry
• Experience with TFS
• Experience in an Agile environment

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Mentor and lead developers; Promote best practices and patterns
• Facilitate communication between teams to ensure the success of your team
• Suggest new processes and document reoccurring processes that will help streamline development.
• Leads the design, construction, and implementation phases of system or project upgrades while driving to keep projects on track
• Keep senior leaders well informed during the project life cycle
• Participate in interviews
