This role is for Optum/United Health Group’s research arm, Advisory Board.

What you’ll do
As Associate Director at Advisory Board, you will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of demand generation campaigns for the growth markets health care segment teams, including email and lead nurture campaigns, as well as supporting Advisory Board’s participation at conferences, SEM, social media, and media content promotions.  By understanding buyer needs and market drivers, you will help create compelling omni-channel marketing campaigns that engage buyers across the buying cycle and drive demand for the life sciences offering.  Additional responsibilities include supporting growth teams to advance leads through the marketing funnel. You will work with other members of the product, brand, and design marketing teams to create high-impact sales tools, collateral, and scripting as well as accelerate awareness for the Advisory Board brand.  

Who you are 
You are a high performing marketer with strong campaign experience and drive to learn the health care marketplace. You have experience building and executing digital marketing campaigns using marketing tools such as Eloqua, Marketo, and working with CRM systems like Salesforce to report on marketing performance data.  You are detailed oriented and enjoy marketing operations, while also driven to improve your craft by learning new techniques and tools and bringing new innovative approaches and ideas to the team. You also enjoy working collaboratively while also driving marketing and business results. Data driven and detail-oriented, you stive to optimize campaign performance and adapt to changing environments and priorities.

You will join a talented team of marketers, responsible for growing our brand in the market, generating valuable new business leads, and empowering our sales colleagues. You will work closely with leaders from marketing, commercial, design, product development, and research functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the design of go-to-market campaign strategy and messaging for Advisory Board product offerings to drive marketing objectives and advance business goals
  • Coordinate omni-channel demand generation campaigns and collaborate closely with product, commercial, research and design teams, to develop, and launch marketing programs
  • Support day-to-day marketing activities including budgeting, workflow planning, and staff development
  • Support the translation of product positioning and messaging to market segment campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with research teams to identify and curate thought leadership that resonates with market segments
  • Play a key role in managing relationships with industry associations, vendors, and other marketing service providers
  • Analyze campaign performance data, determine return on investments (ROI), find opportunities for improvement, and report on metrics and milestones to internal stakeholders and leaders
  • Support reach and influence of diverse audiences including clients, prospects, industry association members, media/social media influencers to drive awareness, engagement and as well as cross-sell and upsell
  • Help define, develop, and implement modern marketing processes and lead channel innovation to influence future campaign planning, allocations, strategy and execution
  • Ensure compliance with Advisory Board brand standards in marketing outreach

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
  • 5 years of experience in health care marketing
  • Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple market segments
  • Experience with digital marketing, marketing automation, and marketing tools such as Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, and/or DOMO
  • Analytical skills with the ability to analyze and present qualitative and quantitative marketing results
  • Demonstrated abilities to support campaign design and execution with qualitative and quantitative business results
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in health care marketing
  • Experience developing, creating, and executing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience with supporting account-based marketing
  • Experience with digital marketing and offline marketing channels e.g., conferences, executive roundtables, PR, etc. 
  • Experience developing messaging and positioning for multiple health care market segments
  • Experience creating and curating thought leadership content
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors
  • Strategic thinker and detail-oriented implementer
  • Data-driven, with demonstrated analytic skills and ability to leverage data to inform campaign planning
  • Solid writing and oral communication skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
