This is a high volume, customer service / call center environment. When speaking over the phone you will need to be efficient, productive and thorough while interacting with Hospitals, Doctor's Office's and Internal Departments (Case Management).
Positions in this function includes managing incoming calls, managing requests for services from Hospitals, Doctor's Office's and Internal Departments providing information on available network services and transferring calls as appropriate to clinical staff. Manages the referrals process, processes incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations.
This position is full - time. Employees are required to work our flexible business hours of 4:00am - 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time from Monday - Friday and 5:00am - 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time on Saturdays and Sundays. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime, evening hours, weekends, and some holidays. Our office is located at 2716 N. TENAYA, 3RD FLOOR, LAS VEGAS, NV, 89128.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work over the phone with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from providers
Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents / triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
Handle resolution / inquiries from members and / or providers
Moderate work experience within own function
Some work is completed without established procedures
Basic tasks are completed without review by others
Supervision / guidance is required for higher level tasks

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
2 years of experience with working in a hospital, physician's office, OR medical clinic setting
Experience using a computer and Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates in documents), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort, filter, and work within tables in spreadsheets), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 4:00am - 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time from Monday - Friday and 5:00am - 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time on Saturdays and Sundays including the flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, and some holidays based on business need
Ability to train onsite, Monday – Friday, from 8:00am – 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time for approximately 3 months.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
A clerical OR administrative support background
Knowledge of ICD - 10 and CPT code
