If you are located in Las Vegas, NV, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Integrate, transform, and consolidate data from various structured and unstructured data systems into structures that are suitable for building analytics solutions and/or performing analysis
- Work with business and technical leaders, Project Managers, and architects across multiple lines of businesses to create, evaluate, and report on essential aspects of the business model/approach (Auditor/Auditing, Selections, Business Results, Procedural Automation)
- Work with various patient management systems in extraction of data to generate reporting, dashboard, KPI monitoring reports
- Works with various business units to extrapolate data sets/structure
- Participate in various meetings to present findings and recommendations
- Experience driving business and technical requirements to support the integration of multiple data sources into a data warehouse or data analytics platform
- Analysis of source systems to determine required transformations
- Analyses department requirements, improving performance on existing scripts /process/procedures, and document detailed user requirements and program functions
- Performs a broad range of research and analyses assignments, requiring innovative uses of techniques, advanced approaches, and/or new technologies
- Translating data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for leadership and counterparts
- Performs analysis, and evaluates downstream business systems, processes, and/or intradepartmental impacts
- Building new analytics tools and dashboard that will help identify efficiency improvements for operational teams
- Monitors deliverables and facilitates communication with team members and other appropriate parties to ensure commitments are met
- Identifies issues and offers/drives solutions through critical thinking
- Ensures accuracy of all deliverables including presentations, contracts, and spreadsheets, etc.
- Responsible for presentation preparation, report production, and/or database management
- Serves as a resource to Operations staff, answering questions and assisting with department informatics, reporting and trending, and workflow/operational issues
- Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in technical related field (Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics) OR 2 years of equivalent analytics
- 2 years of experience supporting healthcare commercial, government or provider entities
- Experience documenting business and technical requirements
- Understanding of data warehousing fundamentals and concepts
- Foundational SQL experience/usage - writing ability and data analysis skills
- Solid understanding of IT fundamentals, architecture, and the system development life cycle
- Knowledge of Tableau and/or Power BI
- Advanced Excel skills

Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
