The role of this Director of Hispanic Initiatives is vital in achieving this commitment to our members through their focus on innovative leadership, agent support and coaching, and accountability for growth and results in all distribution channels selling UnitedHealthcare Individual & Family Plan (IFP) products, focusing on cultural diversity and in language communication.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct the Hispanic Initiatives within our IFP sales team comprising multi-segment broker/agent managers to achieve Individual & Family net growth targets through member acquisition, engagement, and retention in Hispanic American communities in existing and expansion markets nationwide
- Continually build and nurture Hispanic focused agents, agencies, and community-based partnerships
- Lead Spanish speaking educational initiatives across broker, navigator, and community influencers
- Partner with the internal and external individuals/organizations across the Hispanic community to identify and develop relationships that influence the buying behavior of our target consumer (e.g., providers, regulators, faith-based organizations FBO's, community-based organizations CBO's and associations)
- Assist with agent recruitment, helping to build solid partnerships, and use data and insights to coach for optimal agent performance
- Ensure utilization of the structured on-boarding process, contracting, certification and training processes, tools, and systems
- Organize involvement in formal and on-the-job training to ensure an accurate understanding of our products, compliance/policy requirements, sales processes, brand and value proposition messages and sales systems
- Monitor sales results in identified Hispanic markets trends and key performance indicators (KPI's) and hold representatives accountable for achieving targets
- Conduct meetings to review sales results/activities and provide feedback/coaching on opportunities for improvement
- Achieve assigned sales targets and membership growth targets through in his/her territory(ies)
- Ensure compliance: ensure agents adhere to sales and marketing guidelines associated with federal and state regulations, company policies and procedure

Required Qualifications:
- State life/health insurance license or ability to obtain a (company-sponsored) state health/life insurance license within 60 days of hire
- 5 years developing, executing, and measuring success of sales focused initiatives for diverse Hispanic audiences
- 5 years of experience conducting sales presentations or trainings in Spanish
- Bilingual/fluent in Spanish
- Experience managing cross-functional relationships
- Proficiency in speaking, writing, and developing communications in Spanish
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Travel up to 50% of time within this FL market area
- Florida resident
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Active life/health insurance license
- Live in/within commutable distance to Miami, FL
- Certified translator
- Experience managing a team
- Sales experience in insurance industry
- Experience in Medicare products, consumers, or managed care
- Understanding of Individual & Family Plan, Affordable Care Act (ACA) sales & marketing regulations and guidelines
- Knowledge of internal processes/departments to support the sales process and assist in problem resolution (e.g., marketing, billing/enrollment, customer service, etc.)
- Have established professional relationships with local/community contacts
