This position is responsible for developing and executing B2B partner and B2C member segmented and health plan specific email communications, benefit awareness email and SMS campaigns and web microsites for all UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual lines of business. Consultant provides ongoing expertise to sales and marketing teams regarding email marketing best practices and optimization of our digital communication strategy, ensuring brand and CAN SPAM compliance, accessibility, engagement and maximum marketing return - on - investment (ROI).

Primary Responsibilities:
Developing and executing email and SMS campaigns in an accurate, efficient manner consistent with marketing strategy, campaign objectives and digital / email best practices
Assisting with projects that advance our email marketing capabilities and strategy; interfacing with other departments and external vendors with the purpose of finding the best solution to meet objectives
Work with both internal partners (Creative, Marketing, Sales, Legal / Regulatory, Data & Analytics, etc.) and with external vendors (SalesForce, Adobe, Litmus) to build and execute effective email campaigns

Required Qualifications:
2 years of email HTML and responsive design coding experience
2 years of experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables
2 years of experience with an email platform including deployment and reporting
1 years of healthcare / marketing industry experience
1 years of SMS development and deployment
1 years of experience with email marketing and databases
1 years of B2B and/or B2C direct marketing
1 years of website development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with AMP script language to allow highly targeted, dynamically driven emails to be delivered across an audience or segment based on preferences and attributes
Coding for accessibility standards - W3C and Sec. 508 guidelines
Creation of Cloud Pages or microsite pages
Experience with Exact Target / SalesForce Marketing Cloud (or similar email platforms), including experience using data filters and program automation
Experience with email and web analytics / reporting tools
Experience with an inbox placement solution, e.g., Litmus, to improve email deliverability and increase email marketing ROI
