The People Team Innovation & Transformation Leader will work across the People Team's critical talent groups to define, prioritize, and execute on an innovation agenda that improves the employee experience, increases manager efficacy, optimizes legacy processes, and delivers end-to-end digital experiences for the organization.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Developing and driving the implementation of an Innovation strategy for our People function
  • Partnering with the People Leadership Team to identify specific innovation areas to improve efficiency and modernize legacy processes
  • Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and partnership across all People Team functions to drive collective success
  • Provide collaborative leadership to work across key functions needed to deliver on our Innovation strategy
  • Lead from the front as a hands-on subject matter expert, architecting and crafting scalable solutions, and driving excellence across the organization

Specific responsibilities will include :

Functional Expertise and Process Optimization :

  • Offer expert functional knowledge to design and optimize People Team (ie, Human Capital / Resources) processes using digital, data, and automation capabilities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in support of the enterprise People Team Strategic Priorities
  • Develop business cases and a strategic roadmap for People Team innovation priorities
  • Incubate and deploy solutions in concert with Technology organizations
  • Define best AI / ML driven practices and AI lifecycle

Digital Transformation Programs Governance :

  • Establish and lead all aspects of program governance, assessing, prioritizing, building, and deploying digital initiatives in alignment with the Integrated Digital Roadmap to drive adoption and value realization
  • Serve on the enterprise AI governance team

Digital Transformation Strategy :

  • Lead the design and implementation of digital transformation strategies that seamlessly integrate People, Process, and Technology, ensuring optimal user experiences
  • Coach and mentor teams as we build scalable modern solutions
  • Inform and deliver on ambitious roadmaps to accelerate growth and key employee outcomes

Required Qualifications :

  • 10 years of consulting (leading without authority) and forming cross functional teams to solve problems
  • 5 years of defining and leading large projects / programs with multiple stakeholders and global implications
  • Experience leading innovation initiatives and the associated change efforts required for success
  • Demonstrated understanding of People (Human Capital / Resources) business processes
  • Knowledge of emerging technology tools & trends in the People function
  • Track record of successfully implementing innovative People practices and technologies
  • Proven ability to present for impact (verbal & written) to C-suite executives and front-line employees
  • History of structuring ambiguous problems into actionable tasks and workstreams using systems thinking approach
  • Success influencing executives in shaping and implementing strategies
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally to align multiple teams to a shared vision and strategy
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only : The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $188,000 to $357,600 annually.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
