Supervises Mammography personnel and provides clinical oversight to all Mammography services at multiple sites. Responsible for maintaining accreditation and compliance with all State and Federal Regulations. Ensures that radiation generating equipment is utilized in according with all departmental and federal radiation control/safety/protection requirements. Responsible for providing training, insuring competence and providing guidance to staff on new protocols. Schedules personnel, resource usage, equipment repairs and work progress within the department. Requires independent judgment to identify, initiate and assess corrective action for known and potential problems. Addresses and resolves workflow issues and patient complaints. Serves as a liaison/point person for nursing and physician leadership. May act as a representative for Imaging Services Departments for various Task Force Committees or meetings. Rotates as a Supervisor on Call for Imaging Department. Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills. Good organization auditing and time management skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interviews potential candidates and orientates new technical staff to department policies, procedures, and protocols
- Assigns work schedules to staff to ensure necessary coverage
- Coordinates patients flow and schedules to minimize patients waiting; expedites exam as necessary
- Maintaining accreditation and compliance with all State and Federal regulations including tracking and reporting interpretive statistics according to State and Federal Regulations as well as any other reporting requested or required
- Monitors all exams done to insure that proper completion and final reporting is correct
- Initiates and maintains State Licensing for Mammography equipment, staff and Radiologists
- Quality Control and regulatory compliance for the Mammography Department
- Provides feedback to employees through ongoing coaching, counseling, competency assessments, quarterly quality audits and annual Performance Evaluations
- Payroll and associated budget of assigned personnel and / or site(s)
- Maintains supply inventory and is responsible for ordering and associated budget
- Use Radiology computerized management system, PACS, CR system, Electronic Health Record and all other applicable facility computerized systems
- Meet all health requirements prior to employment and periodically thereafter, as required by company policy / state regulations to verify that he / she is free from
- Complete knowledge of mammography and processing equipment, proper positioning techniques and Mammography procedure

Required Qualifications:
- High school or GED
- Graduated from an accredited Radiology Technology program. Current ARRT (R), ARRT (M) and Nevada State Mammography license
- Current BLS
- 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist and one year experience in a supervisory capacity in a mammography or imaging department with multiple imaging capabilities
- Thorough knowledge of State of Federal Imaging Guidelines pertaining to Mammography
- Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client or patient sites within a designated area

Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $67,800 to $133,100 per year.
