Patient Care Clerk provides support by ensuring that all necessary information is gathered during pre-visit planning, assists with scheduling checkouts in exam rooms, may assist with lab and sterilization support, and multiple administrative tasks needed by the team.
May serve as backup to Registration and Scheduling at the front desk.
Location : Country Club Road, Eugene, OR
Clinic Hours : Monday-Friday : 10am-8pm, Saturday-Sunday : 8am-6pm
Schedule : Patient Care Clerk will cover 4 full 10-hour shifts per week
Primary Responsibilities :
Greet customers, face to face or over the phone, in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner and ensure customer needs are met.
Answer questions and provide accurate and helpful assistance to patients and other guests
- Book, coordinate and reschedule patient’s appointments. Relay necessary messages to clinic staff. Assist in necessary triage of patients to the back office for appropriate clinical decision making, including hearing aid repairs
- Interview and schedule / register patients, establish accounts, verify / update patient demographics / insurance coverage in computer
- Provide assistance to patients. Arrange transportation for customers as needed (taxi, bus schedules, other commuter services).
Schedule transfer services if required for a visit. Schedule translator as needed.
- Assist keeping clinics shared folder updated by processing e-faxes and other documentation
- Maintain strictest confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications :
- High school diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1 year(s) of experience in registration, scheduling or front desk in a medical setting, OR clinical / administrative experience
Preferred Qualification :
- Experience with medical terminology
- Basic computer software and Microsoft Office experience
