If you are located in Sacramento, CA, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex data, reviewing the analysis and interpretation of others' work
Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes
Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
Create and maintain training materials for our end-users benefit
Present at User Groups, webinars, and conduct training classes (still virtually 100% of the time)
Author one reference article / topic paper annually
Collaborate well within the Program Specialist team and also assist in a Business Analyst capacity, with ongoing data feeds (Work Authorization) efforts to assure end users that the data will be available and retrievable in the desired fashion
Work with end-users, of all levels, both technically and business-minded, to help them to work with the data in the Medi-Cal data warehouse to make data-driven decisions
Understanding when end-user discontent arises and properly escalating through Optum and MIS Section management as appropriate to ensure that end-users feel supported

Required Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field
3 years of experience in health care analysis, data mining, defining business processes and requirements, developing and documenting solutions, testing, and implementation
3 years of experience with Business Objects for developing and maintaining business intelligence and analytic reports or a combination of experience with similar products to Business Objects used to perform business intelligence reporting
3 years of experience working with statistical reporting data tools such as SAS for large volume databases, developing and maintaining business intelligence and analytic reports
1 years of experience in business/finance including analysis experience with a solid understanding of data storage structures
Experience with Medicaid, Social Security Administration (SSA), and other health data specific to state and federal policies and procedures
Working knowledge of relational databases and database structures
Proficiency with MS Tools

California Residents Only: The salary range for California residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
