The RN (Per Diem) , Client Engagement and Training Operations within the Risk Quality and Provider Enablement division of OptumInsight, provides clinical expertise to abstraction teams for HEDIS® Supplemental and Chart Chase. They will be responsible for clinical abstraction and overread, quality audits, individual quality monitoring, participating in training and support for abstractors, over readers and training team. Positions in this function require various clinical licensure and certification based on role and grade level.
ScheduleHours and Days will vary
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Apply NCQA Technical Specification knowledge when abstracting/overreading Medical Record data
* Demonstrate and continually apply independent clinical critical thinking skills
* Participate in Project audits
* Participate in hands on Clinical trainings
* Experience working in a matrix environment
* Ensure Quality Assurance (QA) standards are met at the measure level
* When quality issues are identified, work hand in hand with the Clinical Training team to close the gap and ensure that quality assurance levels return to expected levels of acceptability
* Commitment to work 0-40 hours January through May as needed
* Understands and accepting of per diem hours May through December (may not work during these months)

Required Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree (or higher)
* Licensed Clinical Professional such as RN, RRT, LP etc.
* 1 year of experience in a health care delivery organization, such as a managed care organization
* Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, etc.
* Ability to work 20-40 hours a week as a per diem employee January through May
* Ability to work overtime January through May
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledgeable of current trends in NCQA requirements in managed health care
* Knowledgeable of NCQA, Stars, HEDIS, HOS and CAHPS requirements
* Knowledgeable in ICD-9-CM, CPT, DRG, LOINC, HCPCS, TOB, POS, NDC coding
