The Manager functions as an integral member of the team and under minimal supervision, provides direction, inspiration and counseling to teammates. Monitors workflow functions, outcomes, customer satisfaction, and quality measures of the facility with the result of meeting or exceeding the established financial and other objectives set in cooperation with the Regional Operations Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works with all members of the department health care team ensuring smooth patient flow within department. Responsible for the day-to-day operations including achieving established goals such as quality of care and budget expectations for production. Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures in accordance with State and Federal Regulations. Uses daily management system, and standard tools to monitor individual and departmental performance on key metrics
- Determines appropriate staffing mix and amount to meet routine and special patient needs and arranges staff coverage. Demonstrates leadership and collaboration in problem solving with employees and patients
- Directs work of teammates, including supervision, hiring, and terminations; determines staffing needs, and ensures efficient utilization of teammates. Monitors skill development and performance of the staff. Provides orientation for all new teammates and coaches for high performance. Gives regular performance feedback and conducts performance appraisals
- Performs other duties including monitoring budget expectations, improving patient satisfaction, and engaging teammates and providers in a positive, encouraging work environment. Fosters a sense of urgency in teammates that promotes commitment to patient centered care, optimal clinical outcomes and regulatory compliance
- Communicates regularly to all teammates, managers and physicians as necessary. Conducts teammate meetings as needed. Leads and/or participates in departmental quality improvement and service excellence activities. Research and resolve local clinical quality issues
- Performs additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
- Current Washington LVN/ RN license
- 2 yrs of leadership experience (supervisor and above) with direct reports
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA)
- Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualification:
- Master's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience
- 2 years management experience in case management
- Certification in case management
- Epic experience
Washington Residents Only: The salary range for Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
