In this role, you'll need to leverage all of your knowledge and expertise. You will be challenged with selling our actuarial and analytical tools and services while also focusing on flawless execution and delivery of key, high profile projects.

Within the Consulting job family, this function uses actuarial methodology, financial and statistical modeling to provide billable strategic and analytical consulting services to external clients. Directs the client relationship on all actuarial and plan technical matters. Professionals in this family are working towards and/or have achieved ASA or FSA certification, or proven ability in the actuarial consulting profession.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and cultivate client relationships and business development
Provide design and oversight of complex actuarial projects on client assignments
Oversee project teams on client assignments
Review forecasts and actuarial assumption development for Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid
Oversee the development of actuarial pricing models and develop pricing methodologies and assumptions
Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and direction of actuarial and financial related consulting projects through a matrixed staff structure
Selling actuarial consulting services in the Medicare/Medicaid lines of business

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
ASA or FSA designation or 14 years of related actuarial consulting experience
12 years of actuarial experience
6 years of experience managing and providing work direction to a team
2 years of work experience in an actuarial consulting organization
Medicare or Medicaid line of business experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Sales experience for consulting services
Health plan employer pricing negotiation experience
PBM or Provider contract negotiation experience
