As the Senior Sourcing and Procurement Consultant, you will be challenged to oversee the strategic sourcing, procurement, and contracting efforts across the enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead and execute category management strategies, conduct sourcing / RFX events, manage suppliers and conduct financial analysis
- Draft, Review, and lead negotiations of third-party supplier contracts, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and amendments in cooperation with legal, internal stakeholders and external business partners
- Advise and influence business stakeholders on supplier and sourcing strategies to maximize enterprise leverage and secure the most favorable commercial and legal terms
- Negotiate rates, service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs) and other legal and business terms
- Develop strong and collaborative working partnerships with key internal stakeholders including both business partners and support functions (legal, finance and risk)
- Support business objectives: revenue growth, risk mitigation, supplier innovation and expense management
- Develop supplier partnerships to minimize cost and maximize performance objectives
- Contribute to the development of annual cost reduction plans and responsible for meeting or exceeding the agreed upon goals
- Conduct market research and spend analysis
- Support supplier performance initiative by participating in periodic business reviews
- Cultivate diverse supplier sourcing opportunities
- Manage supplier risk through effective contracting and risk remediation efforts
- Supervise, mentor and manage direct reports.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of healthcare experience in an operations or Clinical capacity
- 5 years of Sourcing and Procurement experience
- Experience in the following: end-to-end contracting, supplier negotiations, or strategic sourcing
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or JD
- Proficiency with spreadsheet modeling and analysis (Microsoft Excel)
- Experience with Ariba and/or PeopleSoft; previous experience utilizing Procure-to-Pay
- Contract management, drafting, development, edit/mark-ups, and negotiation experience
- Experience leading a team, directly or indirectly
- Demonstrated negotiating, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively consult with senior-level business partners
- Solid analytical skills and comfortable leading with a data-driven problem-solving approach
- High level of comfort with ambiguity
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
