We aren’t looking for just the typical Software Engineer.  We are seeking an innovative technology “Evangelist” to help transform Medicare & Retirement’s Insurance Solutions IT organization! We are searching for a Software Engineer to help mature our continuous integration and delivery of software.  We build different tools and configure applications to support all the applications in Insurance Solutions. We need your help to support our current CI/CD platform and to shape, design, and drive the future way in which software is built and deployed.  You will work to drive commonality and simplicity across the various deliverable artifacts in our environment.  We're a Platform Engineering team, responsible for environment builds, CI/CD and support of a variety of products.  Come join our diverse team of engineers working together on our new platform. Primary Responsibilities: 

• CI/CD Pipeline build and automation 
• Provision cloud environments for various applications
• Development of automation tools to support various applications
• Day to Day collaboration with Scrum Teams, providing support to our developers and testers

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) OR 4 years of IT experience
• 2 years of IT experience on Linux Platform 
• 2 years of IT experience on web-based products 
• 2 years of experience working on large scale, multiple team projects
• 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies and Test Driven Development 
• 2 years of experience with CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, GitHub Actions Sonar, XLDeploy, Maven, Docker, Chef, Terraform) 
• 2 years of experience with at least 1 scripting language such as (Groovy, Shell, Python or PowerShell)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Development experience using Java or Python
• Cloud based experience (Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure)
• GHEC, Github Action.
• Configuration as code experience
• Knowledge of Microservice Architecture
• Monitoring and alerting experience with Dynatrace, Splunk
• Self-driven and attention to details
• Good communication skills

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $70,200 to $137,800 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
