It's Advisory Board's flagship news vehicle and a must-read for thousands of health care executives across the nation. According to one hospital executive who missed a few issues, "I feel like I'm going through caffeine withdrawal not being able to see the Daily Briefing every day."
The Daily Briefing's small but dynamic team typically works a 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. shift. In the morning, staff members are on a very tight deadline while composing the day's issue; afternoons are more flexible.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct searches of national and regional news sources, including newspapers, magazines, journals, blogs, and broadcast sources
- Write several short new stories summarizing the day's health news
- As needed, help proof the day's stories and upload stories using HTML templates
- Analyze the latest health care trends in features based on interviews with Advisory Board researchers and prominent experts from the field

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of experience
- Demonstrated writing and editing experience in a professional environment
- Demonstrated ability to create, adapt, and unify content specifically for the web
- Ability to work a 7am-4pm EST schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in journalism or communications, or a field related to health care
- Online publishing experience
- Proven interest in learning about healthcare or previous healthcare experience
- Proven ability to synthesize news into coherent and comprehensive summaries
- Demonstrated interest in health care
- Proven to be organized, task-oriented, proactive, and deadline-driven
- Proven ability to work independently
