The Company builds quality motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheel products and boats with multiple facilities in Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota and Florida.
Primary Objective
In partnership with the Barletta leadership team, deliver Sales strategies and results that align with the business goals and values of our brand. Be a driver for future generation product and help lead the PD team toward what’s next at retail. Be a forward thinker for sales strategies in a changing retail environment. Cultivate dealer relationships at the highest level. Be a leader, by example, for the sales team members.
Areas of Responsibility
- Deliver wholesale and retail sales results that meet and exceed our market goals.
- Drive the standard for Barletta Quality through (but not limited to) standard setting, internal communication, product audits and product development changes.
- Maintain and leverage the Barletta culture.
- Lead innovation and discipline in Product Development.
- Develop internal relationships at all levels of the organization and be a strategic thought partner.
- Partner with leaders to support and enhance next generation strategies across the organization.
- Lead sales team by example and provide ongoing coaching and development to the sales staff.
- Have a deep understanding of all regional markets and continue to build out the best dealer body by fostering and maintaining dealer relationships in all markets.
- Be a leader in digital transformation and the future of retail.
- Own all dealer communication and messaging.
- Resolve escalated issues arising from sales and coordinate with other departments.
- Foster relationships across the industry.
- Extensive travel to maintain dealer relationships with onsite visits, product training and relationship review.
- Produce, manage, and negotiate the terms of all sales events including dealer meeting, training sessions, boat shows and other events.
- Be an industry best retail salesperson at boat shows and set the standard for manufacturer support at shows and dealer events. We WIN in the trenches at shows.
- Read the market and react with sales incentive and promos.
- Develop and maintain robust Lead Management systems.
- Develop and execute industry best sales training.
- Manage dealer lot inventory for healthy penetration.
- Develop and maintain world class competitive product comparisons.
- Perform other sales related projects and priorities as needed.
- Public Company SOX compliance.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- 10 years of progressive experience across all aspects of high-ticket sales, including experience leading a team.
- Significant experience in the marine or RV or automotive space a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel extensively (at least 50% ).
