Assistant Project Engineer

Unitemp has over 50 years of experience as the leading commercial and industrial HVAC project and service provider in the New Jersey and New York markets. We provide our clients with heating, air conditioning and ventilation solutions to meet the needs of their facility and people. We have an immediate need for an Assistant Project Engineer to perform various administrative, reporting, and basic accounting tasks needed to support construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Set up of all new projects in the ERP system and shared network folders
• Ensure all pre-job paperwork (executed agreements, COIs, tax exemption forms, CPR compliance, etc.) is present and filed in an organized manner
• Maintain all project documentation management (submittals, drawings, RFI’s, CO’s, PO’s, close outs) and work directly with General Manager and PMs to ensure timelines are met for all required paperwork submissions
• Enter estimates into ERP for all construction projects and distribute the job overview report weekly to PM and upper management
• Maintain change order log
• Maintain and provide weekly KPI data for projects and controls
• Log invoices and fill out subcontractor waivers
• Scan, save, and mail checks; handle routine office mail
• Be flexible and agile to work on other business initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of project experience in the construction industry is preferred
• Strong multitasking and ability to adapt
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
