Come grow with us! UNITS North Shore Boston is looking for a full-time, customer-focused Field Delivery Representative to join our growing team. As the face of our company, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations by notifying the customer of your approximate arrival time; loading and unloading their containers at both the UNITS Service Center and the customer’s location; reviewing the placement of the container with each customer prior to unloading; and promoting additional merchandise sales to provide the customer with a complete storage solution. You will also be responsible for maintaining the organization of the Service Center; moving and stacking containers with a Hyundai 70L forklift; as well as cleaning and maintaining containers, forklift, and other UNITS delivery equipment. All your work will be completed with care and as a fully engaged and supported member of our dynamic customer care team.
Responsibilities:
· Always exhibits exceptional customer service skills and teamwork.
· Ability to safely operate a customized Mack flatbed delivery truck.
· Ability to safely operate a Hyundai 70L propane powered forklift.

· Ability to move and stack 10,000-pound all-steel portable storage containers inside and outside the Service Center and on and off the back of the Mack flatbed delivery truck.
· Carefully operates all delivery equipment as instructed by UNITS North Shore Boston guidelines.
· Ensures that all containers are delivered to the customer in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
· Monitors quality control and is responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving with all equipment.
· Loads and unloads empty and full containers at Service Center or at the customer’s location.
· Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the delivery systems, forklift, and containers.
· Inspects, water tests and repairs all containers for possible manufacturing defects or issues related to wear and tear.
· Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the Service Center.
· Responsible for communicating with the Customer Service Representative to coordinate timing of all deliveries.
· Safely moves containers in and out of Service Center with forklift.
· Calls or texts customers with estimated arrival time and confirms any special delivery instructions.
· Arrives at destination on time, with clean container, ordered merchandise, and is prepared with proper UNITS forms and paperwork.
· Performs daily pre-shift inspection of the UNITS delivery system and adjusts fluids, tire pressure, supplies, etc. as needed.
· Follows all OSHA safety standards inside and outside the Service Center and at customer location.
· Accurately completes the Delivery Log for submission to Customer Service Representative at the end of each day.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Two or more years’ experience as a driver.
· Two or more years’ experience operating a three-stage forklift preferred.
· Exceptional customer service skills and clean-cut appearance aimed at communicating a positive image to our customers.
· Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
· Able to climb on and off the back of the Mack delivery system; raise/lower Mack back ramps; and maneuver two 50 lb. dolly wheels up and down Mack O back ramp without assistance.
· Current Massachusetts or New Hampshire driver’s license with a clean driving record and evidence of current insurance coverage. CDL is not required.
· Great sense of responsibility aimed at safety of the delivery system and the customer’s contents.
· Outstanding communication skills with customer and other UNITS team members.
· Demonstrated ability to act logically and quickly in adverse situations throughout the workday.
· Well-versed in reading maps and handling GPS while being competent at executing deliveries in a timely manner.
· Ability to handle basic vehicle maintenance, small engine repair, and other equipment repair tasks as needed.
· Exhibits strong attention to detail and time management skills.
· Strong situational awareness and preplanning abilities.
· Able to pass background check, DOT physical, and random drug tests.
