Compensation:

• Hourly, non-exempt
• New hires can expect to be placed on our starting wage scale of $21.01 to $24.66 per hour
• Based on performance, there is room to grow on our full wage scale of $21.01 to $28.37 per hour

Work Schedule:

• 40 hours, M-F

Job Summary

As a Referral Specialist, you would facilitate continuity of care for UCNW patients by processing specialty referrals in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge at a level typically acquired through completion of a general studies high school program.
• Possesses specific knowledge of health insurance processes and practices, typically learned on the job, or which may include a series of training sessions that would comprise a few weeks if done consecutively.
• Must possess additional expertise in processing health specialty referrals (Cardiology, Pulmonology, Chiropractic, etc.) acquired through practice or expousre to various conditions, allowing employees to perform more advanced techniques.
• Keyboarding speed of 40 wpm and data entry skills; accuracy is essential.
• Familiarity with and proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Outlook, Excel, etc. and Adobe software.
• Familiarity with and proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
