Direct Child Care Worker

Shift: 3p-11p and 10p-7a

Rate of Pay: $13-15per/hour (Must Clear Criminal Background Check)

*****Must be at least 25 years old*****

Must have reliable transportation (Not located on the bus route)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervising teenagers with juvenile offenses
  • Assist in the rehabilitation of children
  • Maintain safety of children through adherence to all safety procedures
  • Provide ongoing line of sight supervision and interventions at all times
  • Assist with recreational activities
  • Assist with homework, independent living skills, and other pro-social activities
  • Conduct process groups (conflict resolution groups, etc.)
  • Provide support to youth in crisis
  • Assist with medication management
  • Assist in maintaining the order and cleanliness of the facility
  • Assist in monitoring and enforcing the program rules

Qualifications for Position

  • High school diploma or GED

Must obtain if employed:

  • Criminal Background Check ($40.00)
  • TB Skin Test

Supervisory Relationships

  • Reports to the Residential Manager

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of mental illness and de-escalation of physical aggressive behaviors

Required Prior Experience

  • Six months job experience preferred (not mandatory)
