Distance Education provides an entirely asynchronous, online learning experience that adapts to the unique circumstances of each student. Our fully accredited bachelor's and master's degree programs, as well as non-degree credits, empower learners to shape their own educational journey. With 8 five-week terms for undergraduates and 5 eight-week terms for graduate students, our model offers unparalleled flexibility. You can learn at your own pace, and take breaks as needed. The Opportunity:
Unity Environmental University Distance Education is at the forefront of integrating environmental sustainability into higher education. We are excited to launch a new initiative focused on developing the next generation of engineers who are equipped to tackle the environmental challenges of the modern world. Our new Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Process Engineering is designed to prepare graduates for a future where green practices are at the core of industry operations. This program combines the fundamentals of engineering, environmental science, and process technology to develop sustainable solutions for pollution prevention, resource conservation, and waste management.

As we expand our offerings to include more engineering degree programs focused on critical sectors like renewable energy and waste management, we are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Environmental Process Engineering or a closely related field to support the design and implementation of these innovative programs.
 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with members of the learning experience design and instructional units to develop course content, learning objectives, and teaching resources for new courses in Environmental Process Engineering and related fields.

· Ensure the integration of cutting-edge practices and technologies in environmental sustainability into the curriculum.

· Advise on the development of experiential and simulation exercises that provide hands-on experience with real-world environmental engineering challenges.

· Contribute to the creation of interdisciplinary courses that address the social, cultural, and economic dimensions of environmental engineering.

· Participate in the continuous improvement of program offerings to keep pace with industry trends and advancements in environmental sustainability practices.

· Advise the Executive Vice President of Distance Education on the development of additional engineering degree programs.

Qualifications

Do you have the skills?

· A Master’s or Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.

· Extensive experience in environmental process engineering, with a strong background in sustainable practices within industrial settings.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to students with varying levels of expertise.

· Experience in curriculum development and online education is highly desirable.

The Location:
Unity Environmental University's Distance Education curriculum is 100% online. Our Distance Education Adjuncts will teach remotely.
