The Opportunity:
The Integrated Enrollment Services Transfer Evaluation Coordinator is an enterprise position that serves as liaison between the Transfer Evaluation Specialists assigned to work within the transfer process unit and the Director of Institutional Effectiveness. Responsible for performing a variety of clerical and office tasks in support of the communications and data flow of the transfer evaluation process at Unity Environmental University. The Transfer Evaluation Coordinator is responsible to ensure transcripts are processed efficiently, accurately, and timely.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Works as a team lead solving issues concerning transfer processing as they arise and escalating issues to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness when necessary.
- Acts as lead for the Transfer Evaluation process under the guidance of Director of Institutional Effectiveness.
- Responsible for the completion of all Equivalency Evaluations with high accuracy based on audit performed by Registrars Office & supports in efforts to automate processes to foster scalability.
- Complete official transfer evaluations and all processes associated with documentation and notification.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the Transfer Evaluation Specialists and the Director of Institutional Effectiveness as well as, the Registrars Office.
- Monitor the flow of transfer information and any backlog so that clearance processes may be developed and implemented.
- Coordinates cross training of IES Specialists in the transfer evaluation process with the Data Entry Specialists
- Ensures that all transfer evaluation-related business processes are documented and current.
- Provide accurate, valid, and timely processing and maintenance of all transcripts.
- Perform data analysis of transfer processing activities, as directed.
- Serve as the transfer processing subject matter expert for one or more information systems, identify process improvements, develop procedures for implementation, etc.
- Generate, validate, and distribute periodic and ad-hoc reports regarding transfer evaluation processing.
- Assist in the maintenance of shared email inboxes and calendars.
- Manage work-study students as assigned.
- Provide customer service to other departments within the institution and provide Institutional switchboard services-as assigned.
- Participate in special projects, as needed, both within Integrated Enrollment Services Center and outside the unit.
- Assists in identifying data elements necessary to support the Director of Institutional Effectiveness report requirements.
Do you have the skills?
- High school diploma/GED required with at least 2 years of job-related experience in customer service.
- (3 - 5) years of job-related experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
- Supervisory skills desired.
- Experience with complex administrative data systems is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
- Strong Organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computerized database, word processing, email, and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to work harmoniously with members of the Institution.
- Ability to function effectively within organizational structures, maintain open lines of communication while being discreet, courteous and well poised.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, make sound decisions, budget time, focus on details, and complete tasks on time while functioning in multiple capacities.
- Ability to adapt to new ideas and circumstances.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining quality outputs.
- Knowledge of office operations including filing and clerical support.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the Institution and leadership.
- Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Location: Pineland Farms, New Gloucester, Maine
Just a half hour from Portland, Unity Environmental University Headquarters, Unity Environmental University Distance Education, The Technical School for Environmental Professions, and the School of Environmental Business & Sustainable Ventures are based at the Pineland Farms campus. The facilities are within easy access to one of the fastest-growing cities for startups in the country.
Work Schedule:
Work hours are specific to the requirements of this position and can include days, evenings, weekends. Working extended hours may be required as needed and Unity Environmental University employees must be flexible and cooperative in fulfilling their responsibilities while meeting the Colleges needs.
Although At Unity Environmental University Enterprise employees are generally scheduled to work at their base location, there are times when travel is necessary and employees are required from time to time to attend events, meetings or work temporary assignment at any At Unity Environmental University location.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of either hand for repetitive movements such as grasping, grasping, and turning, and fine manipulation is required as is the ability to use the telephone for internal and external communications.
