IT Clinical Analyst

Necessary qualifications and skills: Associate degree will be considered, bachelor’s degree preferred in Healthcare of IT field, LPN/RN licensure, or certification in ancillary field such as Medical Laboratory Tech (MLT), Pharmacy Tech, Radiology Tech, etc. 

Summary: The Clinical Analyst’s role is to assist the Clinical IT team in supporting, troubleshooting, educating, and planning for best practice use of Unity Health’s clinical applications. This includes but is not limited to the main Electronic Medical Record system. This position will also assist with Provider training, support, template customization, etc. The Clinical Analyst will serve as a liaison between Unity Health’s clinical staff and the IT department. This position requires occasional travel for education and training purposes.

Physical Effort: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned office. Some travel is required.

Mental Effort: Position is prone to many interruptions and repetitive tasks.

Job Duties and Descriptions:

• Communication skills (includes providing regular status reports to IT management and effective communication; and technical terminology to all parties).
• Clinical application support (e.g., troubleshooting software issues, training Unity staff on application functionality, test system upgrades and vendor supplied software fixes, etc.)
• Maintains working knowledge of Information Technology and all communications equipment.
• Maintains working relationships with all vendors and service companies.
• Assists in long range planning/coordination of MIS and Communications systems.
• Assists with training as needed to ensure quality operation of all systems by the end user.
