Position Summary: The Promotions & Advertising Coordinator is responsible for implementing and tracking marketing and communications projects in support of the organization’s goals and initiatives. This highly collaborative member will work with the communications team and external vendors in support of advertising and other promotional projects.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and execute marketing messages and plans (print, online, face-to-face) to introduce new programs, products, services, events, and publications to targeted audiences.
- Write non-profit marketing and communication materials such as press releases and ad copy.
- Develop and manage advertising schedule and ad spends with designated publications and media outlets.
- Coordinate, monitor and analyze online marketing campaigns (SEM, Social, Retargeting).
- Track effectiveness of product/service advertising initiatives using online analytics, surveys and other tools, as needed.
- Monitor metrics, analyze, and recommend improvements for performance gains across marketing plans.
- Interact with key departments on project-specific communication plans and develop materials as required.
- Conduct research to identify appropriate publications and marketing outlets to marketing Unity services and products.
- Implement and track details of market research projects.
- Track details of promotional partnership relationships.
- Work directly with outside vendors, third-party contractors and media outlets when required.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule commitments.
- Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
- Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance, and paid time request.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Combination of professional years of experience and education may be considered.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Measurable time management and project focused skills. Technology and Computer or Equipment Skills:
- Proficient with Mac and Windows computer systems.
- Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proven experience in copywriting, preferably for marketing/advertising.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through, demonstrated ability to solve problems, ability to meet tight deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
