Tax Director

Unity Search has partnered with a distribution company in Houston looking for a Tax Director. Our client is growing – they have acquired 10 companies in the past 4 years, and they offer a laid-back corporate culture and dress attire.

• Oversee federal and state income tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, tax planning and research as well as indirect tax
• Work with third party service providers
• Liaison with the corporate accounting and reporting group as required

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in tax or business required
• An advanced degree in tax or CPA is preferred
• 10 years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate tax department
• A combination of public accounting and corporate tax experiences is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of and corporation taxation principles
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP required
• Experience with ERP systems
